About us

Guardians involved

Fire Family come from diverse backgrounds and traditions, all of whom share a passion for fire circle magic.   earthFIRE Australia gatherings are supported by a group of dedicated guardians who have a passion for co-creating community building opportunities for people interested in music, voice, dance, personal transformation and group consciousness.

Julieanne

Julieanne brings with her a love of co-creating inclusive community gatherings.   Her intention is to work with others to create sacred spaces (physically and energetically) that will allow for deep play and transformational work for ourselves and the earth.

Julieanne has long been interested in connections with ourselves, others, the earth and spirit.   Her work as a psychologist, educator and energy worker has traversed community, health and diversity. Her doctorate explored celebrations (play and ritual), health and wellbeing.

Jimmy

People have danced for eons around the fire, but it was not until 2005 that I willingly did any dancing and it was around a fire that started my dancing.

I will be in the background helping where I can, building the village, managing the accounts. But I trust earthFIRE will be a place to coax out those parts of myself, which have stayed in the dark, a space for liberation. A time to play with the drum and my creativity ....  a place to transform into a new way of being, coming to know the beauty that is within all and allowing us to shine.

Christine Sellmen

Christine has a deep commitment to the Earth and serving humanity. She enjoys working as a Qigong practitioner and nurse and brings this into the circle working with breath, movement, integration and alignment. Her love of indigenous community and life gives her a strong sense of feeling at one in the earthFIRE circles, allowing connection, creativity and community. You will find her at the circle dancing with a joyful heart, barefoot on the earth with a rattle, voice and clapping sticks.

Sharna Initiata

Sharna is passionate about creating opportunities for community space that open within us, and reconnect us to our natural selves; to heal, play, dance, drum, serve, create, let go all that we are not and allow us to shine as who we really are. By the fire we get to connect with our passions, vision our dreams and bring them into being.

Sharna brings with her many gifts; sounds including crystal bowls, flute, and voice harmonics. She is a trained counsellor and educator and leads meditations and healing circles. She is committed to her own clarity and connecting to her inner knowing.

Jo Horsburgh

Jo has a passion for African music playing mbira, kamelgoni and has drummed for many years. Jo's seeks to create music that supports deep meditation. She is delighted to weave rhythms with others to enhance fun, play, dance and trance at earthFIRE.

We invite you to come play by the fire!
